2024 Girls Empowerment Conference

2024 AFG Conference

Girls ages 10-18 are invited to attend Boys & Girls Clubs of South Alabama (BGCSA) Advocates for Girls a “Confidently Resilient” Empowerment Conference. The Monday, March 18 event from 9 a.m. -3 p.m. is being held at the Kiwanis Branch, 712 Rice Street, Mobile, AL 36607.

Confidently Resilient” is a theme and a philosophy at the heart of the conference. Emphasizing that true resilience is born not from avoidance but from the ability to learn, adapt, and grow.

The conference features a dynamic program where participants will delve into a series of breakout sessions exploring self-esteem, mental health, financial literacy, and physical well-being.

Moshae Donald, attorney, and Club alumna, will deliver the keynote address. Plans include networking opportunities and activity sessions such as yoga, dance, and art. Girls will have an opportunity to apply for an Advocate for Girls Leadership Award. Youths, not members of BGCSA, are asked to pay a $10 seat reservation fee. This contribution supports Advocates For Girls Women’s Giving Circle, ensuring the sustainability and growth of programs that champion the rights and development of young women. A continental breakfast and lunch will be provided for conference attendees.
