Boys & Girls Clubs of South Alabama Telethon Raises Over $70,000 for Local Youth

(Mobile, AL) Boys & Girls Clubs of South Alabama (BGCSA) announced that today’s telethon raised an impressive $70,503 in support of the young people they serve.

“We are deeply grateful to every donor, sponsor, volunteer, and viewer who showed up, tuned in, and gave generously,” said Jermaine West, CEO of Boys & Girls Clubs of South Alabama. “This support represents opportunity, safety, and a brighter future for the youth in our community.”

The organization extends special thanks to WKRG News 5 for their continued partnership and for hosting the telethon. Their ongoing support plays a critical role in connecting the community to the Club’s mission and making this impact possible.

Funds raised will support essential after-school programming, academic support, mentorship, and a safe, positive environment for local children and teens, helping them reach their full potential as productive, caring, and responsible citizens.

While the event was a strong success, the need continues. The community is encouraged to stay involved by donating, volunteering, and helping spread awareness of the organization’s mission.
